For the second year in a row National Barn Company was awarded the "Best Metal Buildings" in the Muskogee, OK area. The Muskogee Daily Phoenix located in Muskogee, Oklahoma conducts a survey of the readers to determine the "Best of..." in the area.

Rustic Warmth of Wood Siding

In one of National Barn Company's recent projects we used wood siding. There is nothing quite like Yellow Poplar board-batten siding. It gives a horse barn a certain warmth. The beauty and richness of real wood never goes out of style. To further enhance the classic appeal of this beautiful horse barn, we added cultured stone wainscot and door arches and an antique bronze standing seam roof.

New Products: Cam Latches

National Barn Company now offers cam latch fasteners as standard equipment on all sliding doors.

Previously, our sliding doors with sliding doors were held closed by a large turn hook. Although turn hooks provided rigid and secure closure, they were cumbersome to operate and required continual adjustment.

The new cam latch, which are a flip latch type of hardware, need to only be adjusted once. Then you simply flip a small lever when you are ready to open your sliding door.

Sometimes all you need is a change of scenery to boost your career.

Brian Keane was born and raised in Chicago Heights, Ill. After attending school to learn architectural drafting, Keane continued to live in the Chicago suburb with his wife and children. He worked in the construction trade, particularly with glass companies. It's possible he'd still be living in Illinois today, but in 1993 his wife was offered a job in Fort Gibson, Okla., and the family moved West.
